Senator Christopher Dodd, (D, Connecticut), released the following statement this afternoon from his Washington offices about the current economic crisis and his involvement in the kickback scandal:
"I lied. I colluded with others to create a financial bubble. I did no oversight, although I was Chair of the Senate Banking Committee. I conspired with others in and out of government to force the bubble to collapse on the verge of an election, in a successful attempt to force the election of a no-talent Socialist Chicago crony. We succeeded in fooling the American people. I am now going to pretend to clean up the mess I made. I do not give a good God damn about what any of you think."
